Nutrition and healthy eating

Three adults prepare a healthy meal

We help you lead the healthier life you want.

We provide healthy eating advice and support to help you:

  • choose healthy food
  • shop, cook and eat well
  • achieve good health by eating a balanced diet
  • be a healthy bodyweight
  • prevent or manage a variety of health conditions

We help you to make changes and reach goals that are important to you.

For children

We can work with your children to help them understand the importance of eating a balanced diet so that they get the nutrition they need to live an active, healthy lifestyle as adults. Through interactive workshops we can help make healthy eating fun. We can talk to you about ways to encourage your family to enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

For people living with chronic disease

Nutritional advice and support is one part of a larger integrated treatment program that Your Community Health provides for people living with chronic disease. We help people with diabetes, heart disease or chronic lung conditions to make important lifestyle changes to help them better manage their long-term health condition. We focus on providing health coaching and support so that you can better manage your health independently.

Fees

We are pleased to offer free or low cost services to many clients. Fees are assessed based on income.
