The Dietetics team at Your Community Health are Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) – experts in nutrition.
We provide food and nutrition advice to help you:
- choose nourishing food and meals for your health needs
- shop, cook and eat well
- be a healthy bodyweight, right for you
- prevent or manage a variety of health conditions through food.
We help you to make changes and reach goals that are important to you.
We work with babies, children and teenagers, from 0 to 18 years and their families to build eating and feeding skills. This is important for children to grow and learn.
These skills are also help create positive meal times for families and supporting children’s health and wellbeing in later life.
We will start with an appointment with you and your child to assess their feeding skills and nutrition needs. We will work with you to make practical food suggestions. We work closely with other child and family service providers to promote nutrition and feeding goals for your child’s overall growth and development.

For people living with chronic disease
We focus on providing support about health and eating behaviours so that you can better manage your health independently. We work closely with your healthcare team to support your overall health needs.
For older adults and seniors
Ageing has effects on your health, wellbeing and eating. We think about your health needs and provide practical ideas of how to access food and preparing meals. We can also link you to social support groups to assist in maintaining your health and enjoyment of food.
