Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary
Phillip Bain was appointed Interim CEO of Your Community Health from 28th October 2019.
Phillip was CEO of Plenty Valley Community Health in the City of Whittlesea for four years until its merger with Dianella Community Health. He continues to be involved with numerous Boards and activities in the health sector. He was recently appointed Chair of the Community Health Taskforce to review the community health sector in Victoria.
He previously served as a Board Director of the North West Melbourne Primary Health Network (2016-2018), and is a member of the Board of QIP Quality Assurance, Northern Health, and NORTH Link. He is Chair of the Hume Whittlesea Primary Care Partnership, and a member of the planning committee of the proposed Whittlesea Community Hospital. He is also a member of Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s Northern Metropolitan Partnership.
Phillip has a background in primary care management and governance. He was CEO of the Goulburn Valley Medicare Local from 2011 to July 2014. Prior to that he worked for 13 years as CEO with the Northern Division of General Practice in Preston (Vic).
He has served on numerous Boards in TAFE and within the health sector and was until recently a Commissioner of the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC). He was a member of the Board of Northcote Community Health and its successor, Darebin Community Health. He ended his most recent term as Chair of Darebin Community Health in January 2012, after 10 years.
Early in his career he worked five years until 1993 as a Ministerial Adviser to then Federal Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Brian Howe.
Community Development and Allied Health, General Manager
Liz has extensive experience in leadership, coordinator and clinical roles spanning over 20 years predominately in the community health sector.
She is committed to social justice and inclusion and reducing the disparities in health that exist between different groups in the community.
Liz’s professional background as a speech pathologist includes experience in acute, early intervention and community health in rural and metropolitan area settings. In addition to clinical roles, Liz has worked in various management positions supporting a range of programs and projects including social support, men’s shed, allied health, quality, Aboriginal health and health promotion.
In her current role she oversees a diverse range of programs including Allied health, Aboriginal health, Needle syringe and Steroid education programs, Social support and Community programs.
Liz has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and PRINCE2 Foundation Project Management Certificate.
Quality, Innovation and Integration, General Manager
Siobhan brings extensive knowledge of the health sector, having worked for 25 years in clinical and administrative roles, predominantly in the community health sector.
In her six years at Your Community Health, she has overseen quality, risk and service integration functions for the organisation. Her work guides the improvement of the organisation. As a local resident, Siobhan enjoys the opportunity to contribute to the local community and help improve the health of the most vulnerable.
Siobhan has a Master of Public Health and Bachelor Applied Science (Physiotherapy). She is a Board Director of Women’s Health in the North. She is also a member of the Primary Care Committee, of the Australian Commission for Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
Chief Financial Officer
Di joined Your Community Health in early 2018. She is an experienced Accountant, Financial Manager and Company Secretary, with leadership experience in governance, strategy development, risk management and compliance, business development and IT.
Prior to joining Your Community Community, Di was Director Corporate and Regulatory Services and Company Secretary for auDA. Before that, her career spanned the acute health and mental health service sector, with general management, strategic development, finance and accounting roles at Ostara Australia and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Di has a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting (RMIT) and is a member of CPA Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
